Roots style EMD blowers remanufactured by EngineAir receive a 100% inspection through disassembly and cleaning. Each unit is rebuilt with new bearings ("high flow" design), bushings and seals. All main case housings are pressure tested prior to assembly and those not having an oil galley o-ring modification are upgraded to include this revision. Rotors are dynamically balanced to tighter tolerances than required in the OEM maintenance instruction (MI). Upon assembly, all blowers are checked to OEM (MI) clearance standards. After the unit has passed a 90-minute test stand oil leak check, it is painted, bagged and skid mounted for shipment.
